Piccolo Hearing's Houston clinic opened in October 2026 at 8880 Bellaire Boulevard, Suite A-1, in the heart of Asiatown between the 610 Loop and Beltway 8. It is the second clinic for a family practice that started in Duluth, Georgia in 2016 and has been fitting hearing aids since the 1980s. We came to this part of Houston for a simple reason: a lot of people here would rather have their hearing checked by someone who speaks Korean, Vietnamese or Chinese, and until now that meant a long drive or a phone interpreter.
The Houston clinic offers everything our Duluth clinic does, plus in-clinic earwax removal. A visit starts with a free hearing test by a licensed hearing instrument specialist and a plain-language explanation of your audiogram. If hearing aids would help, we check your plan's hearing benefit before you decide, fit the aids with real-ear measurement, and see you back for adjustments. We fit and service most major brands.
If your ear feels plugged or your hearing aid has started whistling, you can also book an ear check. We look first with a video otoscope and remove wax in the clinic if wax is the problem, or refer you to an ENT if it is not.

Questions about the Houston clinic
Is the hearing test in Houston free?
Yes. The hearing test is free and is not billed to Medicare or to your plan. You can come in for a baseline test with no obligation.
Do you remove earwax?
Yes, at the Houston clinic. Every visit starts with an ear check using a video otoscope; if it is wax, we remove it gently in the clinic. Earwax removal is $100. If it is not wax, we tell you and refer you to an ENT.
Do you speak Vietnamese and Chinese as well as Korean?
Yes. Our Houston staff speak English, Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese in person. Tell us your preferred language when you book or call.
Do you take my insurance?
We work with the plan hearing networks most plans use, including UnitedHealthcare Hearing, TruHearing, Nations Hearing, Amplifon and Start Hearing. Coverage varies by plan, so we check your specific benefit for free before you decide.
Which hearing aid brands do you fit?
Most major brands, including Phonak, Oticon, Signia, Widex, Starkey, ReSound, Unitron and Bernafon. Your test results, lifestyle and budget decide which one we recommend.
Can you service hearing aids I bought elsewhere?
In most cases, yes. We clean, adjust and repair hearing aids from most major brands and can usually reprogram them. A few locked or very old models cannot be programmed, and we will tell you up front.
Is the Houston clinic new?
Yes. It opened in October 2026. The practice behind it has run its Duluth, Georgia clinic since 2016, and the family has fitted hearing aids since the 1980s.
Do I need a referral?
Usually not. If your plan requires one for a hearing aid benefit, we will tell you and help you arrange it.
How long is a first visit?
Plan on about an hour: around 30 minutes for the hearing test and the rest for going over your results and options. An ear check for earwax is usually about half an hour.
